Traded Volume At Rs 310.28 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has clocked a volume of Rs 310.28 crore of which the treasury bills segment accounted for trades worth Rs 100 crore.

The corporate debenture segment saw 470 trades and witnessed a trade volume of Rs 60 lakh yesterday.

A repo deal was concluded in the 12.59 per cent government loan maturing in 2004 for Rs 50 crore at the rate of 5.50 per cent. The same paper was also traded for another Rs 50 crore at a weighted yield of 10.47 per cent.

The security paper was traded at a low of Rs 108.82, a high of Rs 108.94 and closed at Rs 108.83 for the day.

 

Three trades worth Rs 19 crore were done for 12.5 per cent government loan maturing in 2004 at a weighted yield of 10.62 per cent.

In the treasury bills segment, the 364-days treasury bill maturing on October 9, 1998, was traded for Rs 30 crore at a weighted yield of 7.7 per cent.

In the corporate debenture segment, the zero per cent Reliance Petro papers maturing in 2001 and the 16 per cent MRPL paper maturing in 2002 was in demand. The zero per cent

Reliance paper was traded for Rs 11.26 lakh at a weighted yield of 14.17 per cent and the 16 per cent MRPL paper was traded for Rs 41.93 lakh at a weighted yield of 17.26 per cent.
