Traded Volume At Rs 344.20 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a traded volume of Rs 344.20 crore to which repo trades contributed Rs 55 crore.

There were 436 trades done in the corporate debentures segment, contributing a volume of Rs 9.42 crore yesterday. The treasury bills segment witnessed a volume of Rs 115.50 crore with the highest trade worth Rs 90 crore taking place for the 364-days treasury bill maturing on April 24, 1998. There were three trades for this paper at a weighted yield of 8.63 per cent. The 12.5 per cent government loan maturing in 2004 was traded for Rs 50 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.13 per cent. The 13.82 per cent gilt maturing in 2002 was traded for Rs 40 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.02 per cent. A repo deal was concluded for Rs 25 crore for a term of seven days for the 12.69 per cent government loan maturing in 2002 at the rate of 8.8 per cent.

 

In the corporate debentures segment, the 15 per cent Mahavir Spinning bond maturing in 2002 was traded for Rs 5.58 crore at a yield of 13.39 per cent. The 12 per cent Gujarat Alkalies paper maturing in 2002 was traded for Rs 3.20 crore at a weighted yield of 13.23 per cent.
