Traded Volume At Rs 387.28 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market (WDM) segment of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) saw 55 deals worth Rs 387.28 crore yesterday.

The interest rates in the inter bank overnight money market was in the region of 5 per cent to 5.5 per cent.

The prices of government securities was steady. At the far end of the maturity the 7.50 per cent 2010 was dealt at Rs 75.20 at a yield of 11.25 per cent.

In the treasury bills segment the 91 day treasury bill maturing on 29 November 1997 was dealt at 5 per cent while the 364 day treasury bill maturing on July 3, 1998 was dealt at 7.50 per cent and the ones maturing on 24 April 1998 at 7.45 per cent.

 

Among corporate debentures there were 2 deals struck iin the 0 per cent Reliance Capital 2002 for a sum of Rs 19.69 crore at a yield of 14.96 per cent.

The 0 per cent Reliance Petro 2001 was traded for Rs 46 lakhs at a yield of 17.31 per cent while the Tisco SPN 1999 was dealt at 13.69 per cent and the 16 per cent

Torrent Gujarat 2001 was dealt at a yield of 23.51per cent. Altogether there were 510 trades in corporate debentures for a sum of Rs 20.51 crore.
