NSE REPORT
The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed relatively active trading yesterday, reporting 41 trades accounting for a volume of Rs 251.20 crore.
The day saw two repo trades for Rs 60 crore, one treasury bill for Rs 10 crore and the other on the certificate of deposit segment worth Rs 5 crore.

The +1.25 per cent floating rate bond issued by the government maturing on 1999 was traded for Rs 45 crore at a weighted average yield of 10.38 per cent. The paper was traded for a low of Rs 102.48 and a high of Rs 102.65.
The 11.55 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was traded for Rs 10 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.49 per cent.
The same paper saw two repo deal being concluded for Rs 35 crore. The deals were done for a term of 10 days and at the rate of 9.50 per cent and 9.75 per cent, respectively.
The 12.14 per cent gilt maturing on 2000 also saw two repo deals for Rs 35 crore. The deal was done for 10 days at the rate of 9.50 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively. The 13.85 per cent government loan maturing on 2000 saw three trades for Rs 15 crore at a weighted average yield of 11.29 per cent.
