Traded Volumes At Rs 370.20 Crore

Trading interest at the wholesale debt market (WDM) has revived with hectic trading activity witnessed at the NSE for the second consecutive day yesterday.

The WDM witnessed trades worth Rs 370.20 crore yesterday. Of this, the corporate debenture segment accounted to trades worth Rs 1193.58 lakh. There were 56 trades in the government securities segment and 676 trades in the corporate debentures segment.

The 12.5 per cent and 12.59 per cent government loan both maturing in 2004 were in demand accounting for a total trade of Rs 165 crore while there were scanty trades for the treasury bills segments, said a broker.

 

The 12.5 per cent government loan maturing in 2004 witnessed trade worth Rs 110 crore at the weighted yield of 11.59 per cent. The paper was traded at the low of Rs 104 and closed at the days high of Rs 104.20.

The 12.59 per cent government loan accounted to trade worth Rs 45 crore at a weighted yield of 11.56 per cent. The 14 per cent government loan clocked volume of Rs 20 crore at the weighted yield of 11.69 per cent. The 10.85 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was showed trade volume of Rs 31 crore at the weighted yield of 10.92 per cent.
