Trading Volumes Touch Rs 192.51 Crore

The wholesale debt market segemnt of the National Stock Exchange witnessed subdued trading with deals worth Rs 192.51 crore being struck yesterday.

The prices of securities saw a marginal downward slide as the demand for securities came down. The 13.50 per cent central government security maturing in 1997 was the most actively traded with the total turnover reaching Rs 50 crore in the paricular security.

A cumulative deal worth Rs 25 crore was struck in this security at 10.03 per cent yields. The deal, which is to be settled the same day, was concluded at Rs 103.20. There was another trade at Rs 103, which is to be settled after two days.

 

The 13.50 per cent government stock saw a cumulative deal for Rs 39 crore.

The security saw another cumulative deal for Rs 19 crore at 11.15 per cent yields. The deal is to be settled the same day and was struck at Rs 103.23.

There was another deal in the 13.50 per cent security at Rs 102.87 for Rs 10 crore, while a similar quantum deal was transacted in the same paper at Rs 102.90.

The 12 per cent central government paper saw a deal for Rs 5 crore at a yield of 12.37 per cent.

The deal was concluded at Rs 99.46 and is to be settled the same day.
