The wholesale debt market segment of the National Stock Exchange witnessed turnover of Rs 224.45 crore yesterday against Rs 249.62 crore on Wednesday.
The treasury bills segment saw considerable activity in the 364-day treasury bill.

Total volumes in treasury bills was Rs 150.45 crore. Of this the treasury bill maturing in January 1998 was dealt for Rs 40 crore at an yield of 9.26 per cent.
Overnight money opened at the previous level of eight per cent and made its way down to 7.5 per cent, but later in the day there was some resistance at eight per cent.
The securities market was dull and is expected to stay that way till the calls seek lower levels.
The new five -year 12.69 per cent issue received support at Rs 100.25 and resistance at Rs 100.28 said a dealer with money markets.
The 12.69 per cent government loan maturing 2002 changed hands for Rs 30 crore at 12.62 per cent yields.
The other issues of interest were the 13.7 per cent government loan maturing 1999 yielding 11.7 per cent.
The corporate debentures activity was very subdued and was placed at Rs 30.05 lakh yesterday against Rs 10.88 crore the day before.
