NSE REPORT
The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a trading volume of Rs 341.12 crore, of which the treasury bills segment accounted for trades worth Rs 2 crore only.
NSE brokers said since call money rates ruled at a higher level of eight per cent, there was not much buying interest for treasury bills. The corporate debenture segment witnessed 654 trades, accounting for trades worth Rs 6.07 crore.

The 12.59 per cent government loan maturing in 2004 was in demand and was traded for Rs 50 crore at a weighted yield of 10.65 per cent.
The paper was traded for a high of Rs 108.99 and closed at a low of Rs 108.85.
The 11.50 per cent gilt maturing in 2006, too, was in demand showing a volume of Rs 50 crore at the weighted yield of 10.76 per cent.
The paper was traded for a low of Rs 104.03 and closed at a high of Rs 104.07 for the day.
The 11.15 per cent government loan maturing in 2002 showed a traded volume of Rs 35 crore at the weighted yield of 10.30 per cent. The paper was traded for a low of Rs 103.07 and a high of Rs 103.19 for the day.
