The moorat trading on the Calcutta stock exchange (CSE) yesterday failed to evoke any fresh response, and values dipped marginally owing to absence of good buying support. Reliance industry was marked ex-dividend from yesterday and remained a bit stronger, while other pivotal counters in the specified group slumped marginally. Brokers said reports of fresh decline in Hong Kong and Tokyo stock exchanges hampered the sentiment as investment buying failed to pick up.
The CSE-50 index resumed at the previous level of 107.58 point and touched a high of 107.93, but after the trading started on the Bombay Stock Exchange, it started coming down and after touching a low of 106.73, recovered to close at 106.92.
