Volume Touches Rs 484.87 Crore

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market (WDM) at the National Stock Exchange clocked a trading volume of Rs 484.87 crore. The treasury bill segment contributed to a volume of Rs 36 crore. The day also saw repo trades worth Rs 120 crore for a term of 14 days.

The prices of government securities rose by nearly 20 paise as the government announced a private placement with RBI of 10 years paper at 12 per cent.

The 14.75 per cent bonds of IDBI were traded for Rs 25 crore at the low of Rs 103.90 and high of Rs 104.10.

The 11 per cent government loan, maturing in 2002, was traded for Rs 50 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.47 per cent. The paper was traded for a low of Rs 98.45 and high of Rs 98.52.

 

The 13.50 per cent government loan, maturing in 2007, saw repo trades worth Rs 60 crore being concluded yesterday. The deal was concluded for a term of 14 days and at the rate of 8.9 per cent.

The zero per cent government loan, maturing in 2000, saw bulk deals worth Rs 30 crore being concluded in the repo segment. The deal was done for 14 days and at the rate of 9 per cent.
