The World Health Organisation (WHO) yesterday began a three-day meeting of experts from India and Bangladesh to evolve a strategy to tackle the problem of arsenic poisoning of groundwater. The meeting follows WHO missions in Bangladesh this month to review the problem. This is the first time who has called a meeting of experts from both countries to discuss a common framework for action.
