The Lancashire Cricket Club on Friday mutually terminated the contracts of New Zealand’s BJ Watling and Australians Glenn Maxwell, James Faulkner after this season's County Championship was postponed till May 28 over the rapidly-spreading coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
New Zealand wicketkeeper Watling was supposed to play the first 9 games for Lancashire in Division One, while Australian duo of Maxwell and Faulkner were signed for the Vitality Blast.
However, with the Covid-19 outbreak forcing a cricket shutdown in the UK until May 28, the troika will not be able to play for the club this season.
