PITCH REPORT
"The average first innings total this year here is 219 in four games. It hasn't changed much at all and it is still hard and flat. The batsmen will back themselves and will unleash the range hitting. Variations are going to be crucial if you're a bowler," say Pieterson and Slater during pitch report.

Rajasthan middle order conundrum
RR's middle-order has also been below-par this season and the think-tank might opt to promote Tom Curran, who looks in good touch with the bat.
Curran, meanwhile, also needs to support Archer while spinner Shreyas Gopal, who had a decent outing against Mumbai Indians, needs to keep the momentum going.
Sharjah has always been a batting paradise and looking at the smaller boundaries here, another high-scoring contest is likely on cards on Friday evening.

Brian Lara on Rishabh Pant
Former West Indian cricketer Brian Lara explains how Rishabh Pant has improved his batting style
Now look at the changes he made. Now he has the ability to score runs in all parts of the ground. His scoring charts are looking impressive, and yes, more worry for the bowlers. He is now very well balanced and he is looking to score in key areas that he is not accustomed to scoring – over extra cover, over point, in front of point and his balance and his weight is staying there, he is not falling over to the off-side to create shots on the leg side. That is a vast improvement that he has made, which obviously going to help his all-round batting. I believe, this young lad has a long-long way to go.”

Brian Lara on Rishabh Pant's improved batting style
West Indian cricketer Brian Lara explains how Rishabh Pant used to bat and how he has improved his batting style
I think he is a major asset for the Delhi Capitals, but today he has also vastly improved his game. I am talking about his batting and the improvements he made in that department. On what is immediately noticeable is his propensity to try and get everything to the leg-side. Also look at his run scoring chart and that’s quite a proof of that fascination he has with the on-side. I think he has come to the realisation that this is not working and he went away and worked on improving his off-side play.

First and final warning for 2020, don't blame me later: Ashwin on Mankading
India and Delhi Capitals off-spinner R Ashwin says sparing Aaron Finch in the clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore was his first and last warning to batsmen backing up too far at the non-striker's end and he should not be blamed if he runs them out in future games.
Royal Challengers Bangalore opener Aaron Finch was caught short of the crease when he backed up too far during Monday's IPL game but Ashwin did not dislodge the bails and only gave a warning to the Australian.
The off-spinner, though, put out the warning on his twitter page.
"Let's make it clear !! First and final warning for 2020. I am making it official and don't blame me later on. @RickyPonting #runout #nonstriker @AaronFinch5 and I are good buddies btw #IPL2020," Ashwin tweeted.
Ashwin had courted controversy when he ran out Jos Buttler during last year's IPL when the England batsman backed up too far at the non-striker's end. Several cricketers criticised him for not showing sportsman's spirit.
