Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | Mathews perishes
Oh what an end it has been. This is very frustrating for Sri Lanka as Angelo Mathews pokes at one delivery just outside off and slow from Jasprit Bumrah and gets an edge to Rohit Sharma at third slip and now it's the tailenders that will follow. Sri Lanka are six down for 85, still 67 away from India's total. Mathews once again after a great start, perishes for 43

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | Shami gets Dhananjaya de Silva
And an appeal from India as the ball hits high on the pads of Dhananjaya de Silva. The umpire says not out but Rishabh Pant and Mohammad Shami have convinced Rohit Shram, the Indian captain to go for the review. Sharma does go for the review and the review shows that the ball would have hit the top of the middle and leg.
This is weird by all means as Ravi Ashwin was sweeping the ball early this afternoon and the hawkeye said that it would have missed the stumps and here DDS was on his toes and the ball hit him above the knee roll, no doubt he was deep in the crease, but how could the ball hit the top of middle and leg and not be even umpire's call. It's very tough to understand.

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | Shami goes through Karunaratne's defences
And now the wickets are raining here at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as Mohammad Shami with his raw pace, skill and a sharp in-swing has got through the defences of Sri Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and has castled his stumps which cart-wheeled back to the wicket-keeper. Sri Lanka are now 14-3

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | Double for Bumrah, now gets Thirimanne
This time around it's the left-hander as Bumarah bowls this outside off from the around the wicket angle and the ball holds its line while Lahiru Thirimanne the batter played for the ball coming in with the angle and poked his bat, getting an outside edge and Shreyas Iyer was once again in action actions as the ball went straight to him at third slip. The same players involved in both Sri Lankan wickets as Sri Lanka are now 14-2

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | India strike early, get Kusal Mendis
And Bumrah has struck in only his second over and the third over of the Sri Lankan innings. Kusal Mendis was drawn forward by Bumrah with fuller length ball which moved away from him, without any footwork, Mendis swayed his bat feeling for the ball but only managing to edge it to third slip where Shreyas Iyer pouched it easily

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | IND 1st Innings- 252 | India innings summary
India have finished their innings at 252 all thanks to a brilliant 92 from Shreyas Iyer which he sorted in just 98 balls. All other Indian batters were not able to cope with the spin that the pitch offered, although the Sri Lankan bowlers tried their best to negate that spin by bowling short and wide which was hugely disappointing to see in Test cricket.
Rishabh Pant scored 39 off 26 balls and apart from him and Iyer, Vihari, who scored 30 was the only other Indian batter that seemed like getting the hang of the pitch by any stretch. For Sri Lanka, spinners Praveen Jayawickrama and Lasith Embuldeniya picked three wickets each after going for a lot of runs.

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | Dinner- India 252-10, Iyer scores 92
India have got to 2w52 and most of the credit should go to Shreyas Iyer. When India started the session, they were 92-4 with Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer at the crease. First Pant got out and then Jadeja was out in the single digits too. Iyer then had a 35 run stand with Ravichandran Ashwin to take India closer to 200.
At 183/7 though, it seemed that 220 would be what India would be aiming for, but thanks to some very poor bowling where spinners bowled short and also equally poor fielding, where catches were dropped like anything, Iyer added 32 for the eighth wicket with Axar Patel and 14 with Mohammad Shami for the ninth wicket.
In the end, Iyer got closer to a hundred but was not able to finally reach there even though Bumrah did his best by edging a lot of balls and nullifying two reviews. After adding 23 for the last wicket, Iyer was finally stumped for 92 off the bowling of Praveen Jayawickrama.
For Sri Lanka, Jayawickrama and Lasith Embuldeniya picked three wickets each while Dhananjaya de Silva picked two. One wicket fell to Lakmal and Mayank Agarwal was run out

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | 2nd Session- Jadeja gone as well
And another one bites the dust as Ravindra Jaej, trying to cut a ball that was not sort enough from Lasith Embuldeniya, gets a healthy edge off his gloves and Thirimanne at the slips gets yet another Dolly. Jadeja goes for 4 off 14 balls and India are 148/6. Seems like we will witness the second innings tonight itself.

Live | IND vs SL | 2nd Test | 2nd Session- Embuldeniya gets Pant
After a lot of unnecessary short bowling from Sri Lanka, finally, some sense prevailed and Lasith Embuldeniya bowls two back to back full deliveries and Pant trying to be cheeky, cuts and misses the ball which crashes into the stumps and half the Indian team is back in the pavilion now. India 126/5
