PITCH REPORT
"This is a pitch where the ball comes on to the bat nicely. There is a bit of movement initially due to the sprinkling of grass. It's a bit damp and new ball might move a bit but it's a white ball, so there won't be too much movement and due will play its part in the second innings." reckons Sunil Gavaskar.

T20 World Cup not immediate concern, need to focus on winning games: Rohit
India batsman Rohit Sharma said they are not thinking too much about building the squad for the ICC T20 World Cup and want to focus on the present.
"It (World Cup) is still a long, long way ahead and we just need to focus on winning series. If we will keep winning games and keep doing the right things on the field, the composition of the team will take care of itself," Sharma said in the pre-match press conference.
The premier tournament is scheduled to commence from October next year in Australia.
Sharma stressed that if they will focus on the present that will help them more than anything.
"I think if we focus on the present that will help us more than anything else and I think right now that is our focus to win games and try to stay in present and see what are the mistakes we are making. So that when we come out and play every fresh game, we look like a different side," he said.
India won the first T20I by six wickets but suffered an eight-wicket defeat in the second T20I against West Indies.

Pollard has transformed West Indies' white-ball cricket: Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma has seen a capable leader in Kieron Pollard from close quarters and believes that his longtime Mumbai Indians teammate has been responsible for a transformed Windies cricket team in white ball format.
Rohit, who played with Pollard for several years at MI, termed the West Indies cricket team captain as a "smart thinker of the game".
"I know Pollard really well and he has a great knowledge about the game. I know as a leader what he would be expecting from the team. Under his leadership, it is a different team that we are seeing now, so yes, we have to be at our best when we play them," said Rohit on the eve of the third T20I on Wednesday. Read full article here

Hayden Walsh credits Caribbean Premier League for his progress
"Yeah, it has been like a roller-coaster ride for me. As you can see, I have been working hard trying to find my way to the top into international cricket. Just to be here and perform in a game is just. I am over the moon," he added. Menawhile, the leg-spinner also credited his consistent show in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as one of the other reasons behind his progress. "I did well in the Caribbean Premier League and it obviously caught the selectors' eye. I bowled a lot in the nets and it helped me here," Walsh opined.

Bowling to Lewis, Pooran helped me improve: Hayden Walsh
West Indies leg-spinner Hayden Walsh has reminded everyone that he is not the son for former bowling great Courtney Walsh. And after an impactful show in the second T20I of the three-match series against hosts India, Hayden also reckoned he would now create an identity of his own and felt bowling to his teammates Evin Lewis and Nicholas Pooran in the nets has helped him improve.
"People, my father is not Courtney Walsh," Hayden said after the match on Sunday.
"I was playing in the Canada T20 league and someone called me Courtney Walsh (laughs). So yeah...People my father is not Courtney Walsh. But I guess now they will now find out who I am and who is my father," Walsh, scalped two wickets of Shivam Dube and Shreyas Iyer, said.
A time when Dube was on fire against the visitors, it was Hayden who applied brakes on his innings, handing his side a much needed breakthrough. He said bowling to Lewis and Pooran helped him improve.
"I was bowling a lot to Evin (Lewis) and Nicholas (Pooran) in the nets. I was a bit confident coming in to bowl to him (Dube)," Hayden expressed.

Rohit Sharma need to come good at the top
Opener Rohit Sharma, who had a rare-twin failure, would be raring to go before his home crowd.
K L Rahul and skipper Kohli are also among the runs. Shivam Dube, who slammed his maiden T20 fifty, showed he can hit towering sixes and he would want to perform before his home crowd and so Shreyas Iyer.

Can Sanju Samson find a place in India playing 11?
For Pant also things are only getting tougher. The focus on him has been unrelenting and it won't be easy for him to regain the early form that made him seem like MS Dhoni's heir apparent.
Coming in at No.4, Pant made scores of 33 not out, 18, 6, 27, 19, 4 in the last seven T20s that he featured in.
His last T20 fifty came against West Indies national cricket team in August, in Providence. With the likes of Sanju Samson waiting in the wings, Pant will have to come good sooner than later.

Kuldeep may replace Washignton Sundar in India playing 11
Kuldeep last played a T20 against New Zealand in Hamilton back in February. He warmed the benches in the first two games.
4:53 PM
Can Washignton Sundar retain his place in India playing 11?
As for Sundar, it would be interesting to see whether the team management persists with him or gives chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav a game. Sundar has taken only three wickets in the last five T20s that he has played (two against West Indies and three against Bangladesh) and leaked 144 runs in 23 overs that he bowled.
He also ended up wicket-less in the two T20 Internationals against South Africa.
Sundar's fielding is another aspect about which skipper Virat Kohli would be worried. In the last game, he dropped a sitter of Lendl Simmons, whose 45-ball 67 laidthe foundation of the West Indies' eight-wicket triumph.
