Minute 61 (GOAL!!) -- Edu Bedia scores!!!! Edu Bedia gets the ball outside the box, plays a give and go. Coro, who is inside the box, plays the ball back to Bedia and he takes the shot first time with the outside of his boot that flies into the back of the net. Sublime goal.

Minute 55(GOAL!!) -- Jakichand scores!! Goa 2-Mumbai 0. Seriton does fantastically to stave off a couple defenders on the left and put in a cross inside the box for Jakichand who just has to touch home the ball and he does it fine.

Minute 52 -- Hesitation at the back for Goa and Arnold capitalises the chance to get to the ball ahead of two Goa defenders but is challenged at the last moment and Arnold's shot limps out for a goalkick

Minute 51 -- Mumbai create a great chance of their own as a great ball is whipped across the face of the box with only a finisher missing to bang it home.

Minute 49 -- Goa again go on a counter. Mandar finds himself with acres of space on the left with Bomous in the centre but his cross is mishit and falls behind the target.

Half-time report: An early Ferran Corominas goal from the penalty spot gave FC Goa a 1-0 lead at the half-time against Mumbai City FC at the Fatorda Stadium.

 

Throughout the game, Goa's best chances came when they broke at pace to counter attack and the goal wasn't an exception either.

 

In the fourth minute, after defending a corner, the Goans were quick to take the attack to the opposition that saw Coro run into the box. As the Spaniard was looking to work an angle, Mumbai's Sauvik Chakrabarti came from behind to whack him down inside the box. The referee points to the spot immediately. Coro dispatched his penalty down the middle with a Panenka penalty kick with the goalkeeper diving to his left.

 

Goa created multiple other chances with Jacki Chand one of the bright creative forces. 

 

Mumbai weren't without opportunities either with Lucian Goian getting at least three good chances to head the ball inside the net. The first such opportunity came in the 14th minute when Arnold put in a beautiful cross from the right of the box to the far post where Goian got at the end of it but failed to keep his header down. The script repeated multiple times throughout the first half and, as result, Mumbai are still trailing by a goal.

 

The gameplay has been sublime with opportunities galore at both ends. Given the team's history and the way the game has played out till now, we might be in for more goals in the second half.
