ISl 2018-19: In-form Mumbai City beat high-flying NorthEast United 1-0

NorthEast United FC and Mumbai City FC have locked horns eight times with Mumbai winning five of those battles while NorthEast managed to win just two games

Minute 39 -- Arnold is bundled over by Grgic on the right of the NorthEast box. A dragged back low-ball finds Bastos inside the box who strikes it first time and narrowly misses the target. One from the training ground!

Minute 37 -- Mumbai get a free-kick, can't make anything out of it. From the same move, Machado gets a cross on the right with no one challenging him and then tries to cross it into the box but is swiftly blocked out for another corner

Minute 33 -- NorthEast get a free at the edge of the box for a Milan foul. This could be interesting. Three men on the ball. Mascia takes it and blazes his effort over the bar

Minute 32 -- NorthEast are enjoying the majority of the possession and are stringing together passes easily in nearly every part of the pitch

Minute 29 -- It's been all NorthEast at the moment who are getting a flurry of chances to get the leveller but have missed by inches

Minute 26 -- Another chance for NorthEast! After a great play down the right wing, a nice cross is floated at the near post where Mascia arrives for an angled header and puts his effort inches over the bar

Minute 23 -- NorthEast go close again! Redeem puts in a fantastic cross from the right into the far post and Ogbeche makes the run and gets to the end of it, heading it into the far post but the ball trickles out just inches beyond the woodwork. Close!

Minute 22 -- NorthEast attack down the right flank and a great cross is squeezed into the box it just needed just a little touch for a sliding NorthEast player for it to end at the back of the net

Minute 17 -- NorthEast get a free-kick slightly on the right of the pitch. The cross finds Borges at the far post but jumping back, Borges mistimes his header and his effort is tame that's easily saved

Mumbai get a corner that kicks-off a scramble in the NorthEast box and Machado crosses into the far post from right inside the box and Bastos gets a touch that takes the ball over the line despite the goalkeeper trying to smother it in time.
