Key bowlers for SRH

Hyderabad bowlers have performed well in patches and need to get their act together against Bangalore's master blasters AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli. The visitors boast of multi-pronged attack in which Afghanistan's Rashid Khan has been the standout performer. Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed and experienced Bhuvneshwar Kumar, along with the Afghan spin twins Rashid and Mohammed Nabi add sting to Hyderabad attack.

Key bowlers for RCB

Bangalore's bowling would once again rely on Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh Yadav and Navdeep Saini. Despite the wicket generally assisting batsmen in Bangalore, the host's bowlers will have to get wickets at regular intervals besides being economical.

Kohli will certainly aim to end things on a winning note after losing eight of their 13 games. The skipper, who has amassed 448 runs from 13 games, is the leading run-getter for his side but lacked support from the other batsmen. Apart from him, de Villers has also contributed with 441 runs from 12 games.

Umesh on Navdeep Saini

Umesh praised his teammate and pacer Navdeep Saini and hoped he has a bright future.

"He (Saini) is a good fast bowler and wants to keep learning. After a long time we have seen a bowler who can bowl at 150 km/hr and has good lengths as well.

"The way he is playing cricket and learning, he has a bright future ahead," Umesh added.

Getting dropped from Team India affected my form: Umesh

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Umesh Yadav feels that getting dropped from the Indian team has affected his form besides the loss of self confidence in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Umesh, who was not included in India's 15-member World Cup squad, said that nothing is currently going in his favour as the pressure to perform is affecting his bowling.

"Everybody is saying I am not bowling well and why is this happening? Because in last two years I continued playing all formats in domestic level, but after that, I have not played too many ODIs or T20s. I am just picked for two to three games, then again get dropped," Umesh said after the abandoned IPL tie between his team and Rajasthan Royals early on Wednesday.

"Everyone is thinking I am not giving my best, but it is not. It happens for every fast bowler," the pacer said.

Umesh admitted that he has failed in maintaining accuracy in the past six months.

"It is difficult to elaborate because it is part of every bowler. Sometimes, we have a good or a bad day. I think this is the phase wherein from 4 to 6 months I am not that accurate," he said.

Bhuvneshwar will rise to challenge in WC: Madan Lal

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is expected to be an integral part of the Indian attack when Virat Kohli and his boys land in England for the 2019 World Cup. But the 29-year-old has not been able to deliver as consistently as he would have liked for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in this edition of the Indian Premier League.

The premier SRH bowler has just taken nine wickets in the 13 matches he has played so far. He has also been taken for plenty in many of the matches with his economy rate hovering around 8 in this season.

However, former India fast bowler Madan Lal believes the pacer is performing reasonably well and exuded confidence that Bhuvneshwar will deliver for India at the showpiece event.

Kristen on RCB preparation against SRH

Kirsten, however, said they are going into the field to win the match tomorrow against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Replying to a query, Kirsten said he enjoued working with new coaches on board.

Asked to comment on Virat Kohli asking his players to go out and enjoy the remaining game, Kirsten said:"My view is, you have fun when you are winning. So we understand the point he is making, but I think it is always going to be tough if you are not winning games."

All players, both seniors and newcomers, feel the pressure, and hence it is needed of them to understand the knack of preparing for intense T20 tournament as the IPL, he said.

Replying to a query, Kirsten said it has been a disappointing season for RCB, since they could manage just two points in the first half, from where it became really difficult for them to pull things back.

"This has been a disappointing season. We would like to have had better results. We could manage only two points in the first half (first seven games). We started to get things going our way in the second half, but unfortunately in IPL you have a bad start, you are always going to be struggling and winning seven out of seven," he said.

Kirsten said the team has struggled in certain areas and they would like to work on those specific areas next year.

Kristen blames injury of key players for RCB dismal performance in IPL 2019

Kirsten said RCB missed services of three to four players, and one of the toughest things to deal with was the absence of Australian fast bowler Nathan Coulter-Nile.

"We are missing three to four players. One of the toughest things we have to deal with this season is our inetrnational fast bowler never arrived - Nathan Coulter-Nile," he said.

Kristen on structural changes in RCB

Kirsten said some structural changes needs to be made in consultation with the owners as he is in a better position to do so as the head coach of the team.

"It is not difficult to iron out the areas we struggled with," he added.

Kirsten also said a team has to hide their weaknesses and make sure their strengths are working well, if not they are losing games, which makes a world of difference.

He said losing games at the hands of Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders early on at Chinnaswamy, cost RCB's chances of making into the playoffs.

"Two big games against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders cost us. These games we should have won. If those kinds of games you are not winning, it is going to affect us because we know IPL is incredibly predictable and games you should be winning, you need to win," he said.
