According to pitch report, there is not much support for spinners today. The toss winning captain would look to win the toss and post a big total while fielding side would try to get the opposition out cheaply.

Same pitch will be as yesterday will be used today. It is the fullish length that has gone for runs on this ground. The ball does move around a little bit with the good hard length and that little movement is enough in T20s. There is decent carry, there are a few more cracks but the grass is holding it well together. CSK look to put yet another brilliant show

CSK bowlers, especially Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, and Deepak Chahar, were quite effective against KXIP, restricting them to under 200 when at one point is looked that Punjab will cross 200-run mark easily. But the pace trio pulled back the things for Daddy's army. Dhoni will expect something similar against KKR.

Dismal batting display from KKR in IPL 2020

Karthik has struggled with the bat so far in IPL 2020 and managed to score a mere 37 runs in four games. The other batsmen too have disappointed as none of them feature in the list of top-10 run-getters. Opener Shubhman Gill has tried his best to hand decent start to the side, but lacked support from the other end and has failed to convert the starts. The 21-year-old player has made 152 from four games.

 

Karthik has preferred Sunil Narine as opener but the Caribbean all-rounder has let his skipper down, managing just 27 from four games. The KKR think-tank might opt to promote Rahul Tripathi and Eoin Morgan up the order and keep Karthik and Andre Russell for later overs. Russell hasn't clicked with the bat this season.
