IPL 2021, Match 13, MI vs DC: Pitch report
The Chennai wicket is likely to support bowlers again.
Here's what Mathew Hayden said during pitch report:
It looks much the same, it's got bare patches absolutely everywhere right through it. The bowlers are working it out a bit quicker than the batters. They are bowling a lot of off-pace deliveries and they are getting wickets with it as well. 53% of the wickets have come off the slower balls, so that variation is key. Batters are gonna work really hard for their runs on this two-paced wicket. Have a bat first.

Player battle: Ashwin vs Chahar
While the action in the middle overs between Ashwin and Mumbai Indians batting could be the highlight of Tuesday's match, it will also be interesting to see two quality spinners battle out against each other.
The experienced Ashwin has bowled reasonably well without doing anything spectacular. Mumbai Indians leg-spinner Rahul Chahar has been among wickets and helped MI win both their previous two matches.
Chahar took four wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and then took three wickets against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to help his team win despite having put up below-par totals.

Delhi Capitals team news
For Delhi Capitals, the biggest positive has been the form of Shikhar Dhawan, who is the leading scorer so far in the tournament with 186 runs.
Dhawan and young Prithvi Shaw form a lethal opening combination, but the Mumbaikar needs to convert his starts into big scores.
Delhi opted for Australian Steve Smith on Sunday but, as they are next playing on the slow Chepauk track, they might go back to Ajinkya Rahane, who is looking better suited for such tracks.
Skipper Rishabh Pant has the ability to take any attack to the cleaners. The DC team management would be hoping that the top-order fires in unison against the defending champions, to whom they had lost in the final last year.
DC also possess quality all-rounders in Marcus Stoinis and Lalit Yadav, who would be keen to play their roles well.
Their pace attack is led by South African Kagiso Rabada and Chris Woakes, and the two have been impressive so far. They have an additional option in Anrich Notrje, who has also joined the squad.

Key bowlers for Mumbai Indians
Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, whom bowling coach Shane Bond described as a "wicket-taking bowler", has grabbed seven wickets in last two games.
Another important cog in the wheel is left-arm spinner Krunal, who would be itching to give his team breakthroughs.
Mumbai played Adam Milne in the previous game but considering the nature of the pitch, they could be tempted to bring in off-spinner Jayant Yadav, who played the 2020 final against the same opposition.
