PKL 2018, Day 24, Match 2: UP Yoddha vs Bengaluru Bulls
UP YODDHA: JEEVA KUMAR RETURNS TO LINEUP

Veteran Jeeva Kumar, came back to the UP Yoddha lineup after a gap of 6 matches in between.
Though they were beaten by the Tamil Thalaivas last night, Jeeva Kumar had a relatively good game, scoring 3 tackle points at a tackle SR of 43, including a super tackle.
This move will be a welcome one for UP, as his replacement Amit was not performing up to expectations at all.
He had just 4 tackle points from his 6 matches and had a failure rate of 81%.
Last night, Jeeva formed a good partnership with the other cover defender, Narender and both of them together had 3 tackle points each at a tackle SR of 43.
UP Yoddha will be hoping that this partnership continues to perform well, complementing their excellent corner combination of Nitesh Kumar and Sagar Krishna who have been great this season.
o Though, UP opted to go with Sachin Kumar instead of Sagar Krishna at left corner but Sachin managed to score just 1 tackle pt (Tackle SR – 25) and failed in 3 tackles.

BATTLE OF TWO RAIDING TRIOS

After a slow start, Rohit Kumar has come into form in the last 2 games. He averages 7.5 raid points at a raid SR of 50 in the last 2 games.
Kashiling Adake has been consistently contributing in both raiding and defense for Bengaluru throughout the season.
Bengaluru Bulls have the highest average raid points per game (25.6) as a team, and the highest raid SR (61) among all the teams in PKL.
With the way that these 3 are playing together, the Bengaluru raiding contingent looks unstoppable.

BATTLE OF TWO RAIDING TRIOS

Bengaluru Bulls have also gone in with a similar raiding trio, as they have 3 quality raiders in Rohit Kumar, Kashiling Adake and Pawan Sehrawat.
However, their strategy has been a little different because youngster Pawan Sehrawat has been performing exceptionally well and is among the best raiders of this season.
None of the defenses they have faced so far has had an answer to Pawan and he is scoring at an unbelievable raid SR of 97 for the season.
He also has 8 super raids from just 5 matches which is double than the raider with 2nd most super raids in PKL 6.
He was great in their last match against Patna scoring 14 raid points.
More importantly, in the last raid of the match, with Bengaluru up by just 1 point, it was communicated to him that it was a DoD raid only halfway into the raid. He still kept his composure, got a touch point and helped Bengaluru win the match.

PKL 2018, Day 24, Match 2: UP Yoddha vs Bengaluru Bulls

BATTLE OF TWO RAIDING TRIOS

For both Bengaluru Bulls and UP Yoddha, the raiding department has been the strong point as compared to the defense.
UP have 3 good raiders in Rishank Devadiga, Shrikant Jadhav and Prashanth Kumar Rai. They have alternated between them depending on the strength of the opposition and situation.
All 3 raiders have scored more than 40 raid points and 6+ average in PKL 6 – they are the only team to have 3 raiders with 40+ raid pts.
However, they failed in their last game against Tamil Thalaivas, as they only got a combined 10 raid points between them.
Captain Rishank, went off the field after scoring 0 raid points from his 5 raids and Shrikant scored just 3 raid points from his 10 raids (8 failed raids – most failed raids in a match in PKL 6).
Prashanth Kumar Rai was the only successful raider, having 7 raid points at a raid SR of 58. He also failed in 7 raids.
UP will be hoping that they do not fail collectively again, and that Rishank comes back for this match fully fit.
