Ajay-Manjeet combo qualified for playoffs in each of first 4 seasons

• Manjeet is returning to PKL 6 to form a combo with captain Ajay Thakur, who played first 4 seasons under Manjeet’s captaincy. (Ajay-Manjeet combo qualified for playoffs in each of first 4 seasons)

• Their main task is going to be stopping the Dubki King Pardeep Narwal and Amit Hooda has done it quite effectively in past. 

• Amit Hooda is leading the head-to-head battle with Pardeep with a healthy margin of 13-9 in overall PKL and 6-4 in PKL 5. 

• While Manjeet has struggled against Pardeep Narwal and trailing the head-to-head battle by huge margin (Pardeep 14-7 Manjeet). 

• They have able support at other two positions in Darshan J., D. Gopu and C. Arun. 

• Darshan J and C. Arun were their 2nd and 3rd leading tackle point scorers with 40 and 35 tackle points respectively in PKL 5 at a tackle strike rate of 44 and 42.

• D. Gopu is the brother of veteran defender D. Cheralathan and similarly can play on both corners. 

• He is coming to PKL 6 after a season break and has 40 tackle points to his name in 29 games (Tackle SR – 42).

• From one experienced man in PKL 5, Tamil Thalaivas now have two big names in defence in Manjeet Chhillar and Amit Hooda. 

• Amit Hooda was the leading tackle point scorer of Tamil Thalaivas with 61 tackle points at a tackle strike rate of 52.

• Manjeet had an injury prone PKL 5, where he scored 47 tackle points in 15 matches at an average of 3.1 tackle points per game. (Tackle SR – 55)

• Both had tackle strike rate of 50+ in PKL 5.
