The Australian team has got to a brisk start as the openers Alyssa Healy and Rachael Haynes especially Healy have made the Indian bowlers change their lengths and caused a lot of problems for the Indian skipper Mithali Raj too as they have made her field placements very very fragile. They have reached the 50 run mark at the end of the 7th over only and have quite literally flattened the Indian team.

The Indian team after being invited to bat first by Australian captain Meg Lanning, who won the toss and chose to field first, didn't start off well and lost its openers for only 28 runs on the board. But it was the 130 run partnership between captain Mithali Raj (68) and Yastika Bhatia (59) that got the Indian team going. 

 

But after losing both Yastika and Mithali, India were once again struggling at 213-6 before Harmanp[reet Kaur (57) and Pooja Vastrakar (34) added crucial 64 off just 47 balls to take India to 277. For Australia, Darcie Brown took three wickets and finished with figures of 3/30 in her 8 overs

And It's Harman back on strike for the last four balls as India have crossed the 270 mark already and she runs two more here. 5 from the over already as Harman is now tired and takes only a single from the fourth ball. Two balls to go, can Pooja hit one out of the ground?

 

No, she can't on the first go as she takes two runs only and now with the last ball to go Pooja is eying up the boundary, but Jonassen bowls an exceptional yorker and it's a run out as Harman just kept running and it is Pooja who is run out but not before scoring a magnificent 34 off just 28 balls to take India to 277/7 at the end of the 50 overs.

Four!! This Thor Kaur at her best. Short from the bowler and after shuffling in her crease, Harman pulls this bisecting the deep square leg and deep mid-wicket fielders for four runs

 

And with this single, 250 comes up for India as this partnership between Harman and Pooja takes India towards the desired total of more than 270

Four!! That's more like it from Harman as she comes down the crease and hits straight past the bowler for a cracking four to start the over and now she takes a single to get off strike as well. 

 

Six!! Now Pooja comes into the action. Down the ground, she goes and gets it over long-on for a six. Straight boundaries are short and Pooja has utilised them here

Four!! Pooja goes bang bang here as she picks up the flighted one and hits it over the bowler's head for yet another four. 16 runs from the over already and she takes a single to make it 17 and reach 242-6 with 24 more balls to come

India have lost the plot here. They have lost it completely here as only seven runs have come off the last 18 balls and two wickets have fallen as well. Most importantly, Harmanpreet has been kept off the strike and the frustration is creeping up on her as a result she is now playing wayward shots and it now seems that India, who were looking like getting to 270 easily, are now even struggling to get past 250

Once again a wicket of the first ball. This is a ridiculous play from Rana as she goes forward trying to play ball which is short and bowled in with the arm and gets castled. India lose it's sixth and Rana once again fails with the bat and are in a lot of trouble now as Harman is not even getting the strike and India are stuck at 213
