neoIT, an offshore advisory and management firm, and Managing Offshore, a monthly newsletter for global-sourcing managers, announced on Tuesday results of an annual 'Offshore 100' joint survey assessing the performance of information technology outsourcing and BPO firms. |
Among those who have been praised, and will be recognised with awards next weekend are Accenture, Infosys, Wipro and GE Capital, EDS and Bearing Point. |
The survey also turned up some strong small and medium-sized contenders including Bleum, Infinite Computer Systems, Secova eServices, vMoksha Technologies and EPAM Systems, the surveyors said in a release here. |
The awards ceremony will be held on January 19 at neoIT's Annual Symposium on Global Sourcing at the Metropolitan Hotel in New York City. |
Managing Offshore and neoIT aimed to set supplier benchmarks by identifying categories of competencies. They also sought to create a forum to recognise leading and emerging offshore suppliers. |
"Offshore 100 are an impressive group of suppliers, who collectively represent over $90 billion in outsourcing revenue," said Eugene Kublanov, a vice president at neoIT. |
They are the most innovative IT outsourcing and BPO suppliers, he says, in important service-delivery categories like call centres, infrastructure and firms that invest in their team development. |
Growth among service providers has grown substantially in recent years, with the compounded annual growth rate of aggregated revenue among the 'Offshore 100' at 20 per cent between 2003 and 2005. |
