Garmin iQue 3600 GPS technology, this super PDA not only allows the user to look up appointments and contacts but also locates and routes people with voice-guidance commands.

Users can look up an address or appointment and then navigate to it using the mapping function. Que technology enables users to see where they are, find a street address, know where the next turn is via visual or voice guidance, get back on track when they've strayed off course and so on.

The PDA presents locations digitally on a 320x480- pixel TFT color display. The Rs 55,000 iQue 3600 locates hotels, other places of tourist interest and entertainment locations as well as locating unfamiliar addresses.

Light mobile

LG G 1600 The new LG G 1600 mobile handset is a dual-band, entry level phone which weighs only 83 grams. Thus it's extremely light but feature-filled. The G 1600 has J2ME compatibility and a high-resolution, 65k colour display but it doesn't offer a built-in camera or infrared port.

Great value for money though. The G 1600 is equipped with general packet radio switching (GPRS) technology that transmits data at faster rates.

It has multi-messaging system capability to send and receive pictures with text or audio message instantly. The Java-enabled platform is targetted at gamers who can download many new games.

Other features include polyphonic ring tones, seven different user groups, a GUI (Graphic User Interface), WAP and voice memo. Good value at Rs 7,995.

This incorporates an intelligent LED graphical equaliser display directly onto the lenses. The controls are placed on the left and right ear-stems.

The processor is a 75 Mhz, 18 Sigma Delta digital to analog converter and it offers high fidelity sound quality. Amazingly, the whole thing weighs only 50 grams. Comes in at $400-$500 equivalent.
