Bharti Airtel has launched the Carry Home Tariff benefit for its subscribers in the Goa-Maharashtra and Mumbai cricles by integrating them as a single circle. |
As per the scheme, the subscribers will not have to pay roaming charges. The scheme is applicable to prepaid and postpaid subscribers. |
Following the integration, Bharti Airtel customers visiting Mumbai from any part of Maharashtra and Goa and vice-versa will be charged their home tariffs as applicable in their respective circles. |
Mandeep Bhatia, COO Goa-Maharashtra circle, Airtel, said, "The move is aimed at providing greater value for customers who frequently travel between Mumbai and the Goa-Maharashtra circles." |
Outgoing calls between two states now will become cheaper by 55 per cent owing to lower outgoing local and STD call rates and no roaming rentals, he said. |
The Carry Home Tariff benefits will be made available to all new Airtel One prepaid customers with effect from May 1. While the existing Airtel prepaid and postpaid customers can avail of these benefits with effect from May 7, 2006. |
This move seamlessly integrates Mumbai and Goa-Maharashtra circles not only in terms of seamless network connectivity, but also the benefit to enjoy home tariffs in respective circles and make calls in Mumbai without the limitations of roaming charges. |
