The telecom major Airtel will expand its network across 550 towns and 33 districts in Maharashtra and Goa by March end. At present it covers over 350 towns in the two states. |
The company has launched its operations in Gangakhed in Parbhani district. It has already started providing services over 75 new towns in south Maharashtra across Parbhani, Satara, Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Osmanabad, Latur and Nanded districts. |
"By March, we will be covering a total of 100 new towns in the region. We are expanding our network on an average of around 20 locations per week," said Christopher Tobit, chief operating officer, Bharti Tele-Ventures, Maharashtra and Goa circle. |
Airtel customers in Gangakhed can also benefit from the company's latest offering Rs 999 lifetime prepaid card. "All existing and potential mobile users can avail this card," he added. |
