Having tested the telecom ground with unified messaging solutions (UMS), systems integrator and IT infrastructure management services provider Allied Digital Services, in collaboration with Israel-based CallUp Net, is now planning to bring unique value-added services (VAS) to telecom operators in India.

The company is on the verge of signing on the dotted lines with one of the major CDMA operators in the country for introducing services like emotion detector, voice recognition and synthesiser, voice imitation and love detector.

Emotion detector, which analyses the receiver's mood with a tone detection software, is said to be a popular service among youngsters in Israel who do not mind paying premium for the service. Similar success has been found with other services including voice imitation which is able to convert and share voice signals for imitation, which has prompted Allied Digital Services to introduce it in India.

"SMS, caller tunes, ringtones and the like have become essentials and can no longer be counted among value-added services. Using the reach of the telecom provider whom we will soon tie up with, it should be introduced in the Indian markets with innovative schemes targeting the young mobile-friendly population," said Nitin Shah, chairman and managing director of Allied Digital Services.

The company is on the verge of entering international markets to set up and operate India's first Security Operation Centre (SOC) in Mumbai using the common interference engine for security event handling (CIESEH) technology.

Using CIESEH, a company's global command centres (GCCs) are able to monitor, trace, report and handle security incidents. GCCs are designed to become part of the security infrastructure of customers' networks.

Through the SOC, Allied Digital is planning to be one of the first companies in the country to provide managed security services (MSS) such as specialised information security surveillance, remote log analysis of security devices and monitoring critical alerts, among others.

Allied Digital is also in the final stages of wrapping up an acquisition of a North America-based 250-seater BPO.

Further plans include acquiring at least two to three companies in India and abroad, for an aggregate consideration of Rs 35 crore. Funds for the acquisitions and other expansion plans are expected to come through the proceeds from the company's initial public offering (IPO).
