ASG starts India operations

ASG Software Solutions, a $170 million US-based enterprise software firm, has announced the launch of its Indian operations through a sales arm in Bangalore and Mumbai.
 
The company hopes to start a development unit in India by acquiring an outfit here.
 
The company offers a range of software solutions in data, security, applications, operations and performance besides infrastructure management areas.
 
Announcing their Indian operations, Arthur Allen, president & CEO, ASG, said: "There has been a shift in the economic centre of gravity away from the US and Europe. Soon, India will not only be a major technology contributor but also a technology consumer. We believe that there is great opportunity for our solutions here."
