What was the last time your gadgets came to your rescue?
At work, I am always connected to my BlackBerry and use my iPod primarily for music and podcasting. But my favourite gizmo remains my Nintendo Wii. I am an avid gamer and spend weekends playing on the console along with my two children. We take turns wielding the nunchak in the virtual world.

What ultra-expensive gadget would you like to buy in the near future?
A Hasselblad HD2-39 Camera would be a nice gadget to have. It is a 39-megapixel technological marvel and I wouldn't be surprised if it could get you a good shot of Pluto on a clear night. It costs $40,000 and so it necessarily has to be a gift.

What is your coolest gadget, that you like to show off?
I get my kick from gadgets by fidgeting with them and am not so keen on showing them off.

How much do you willingly spend on gadgets every month?
I'm a reasonably high spender on technology. I can't put a number to it, but if I find something that catches my eye, I don't hesitate to buy it.

How do you get the most juice out of your favourite gadgets?
The Nintendo Wii is a gaming console that lets you play tennis, boxing, golf and many other games on a screen using virtual avatars. The device uses a three-dimensional approach, and you need to actually be up and running on your feet and shuttling your arm in order to defeat your virtual opponent. It's the most effective workout-cum-stressbuster rolled into one.

The perfect geeky gift for you would be...
The Apple Macbook Air. It is sliver-thin, has a 2 GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive, backlit keys and, most of all, it has a design to die for.

What technology do you find particularly fascinating?
Gaming is something I find myself passionate about. I find it to be very exhilarating and interactive. Sometimes you can connect with people much better over a virtual war on the PlayStation than in stiff corporate conference rooms. I find it to be a refreshing recipe that always works for me.

Can you unwind with the help of your gadgets?
Absolutely! In fact, my preferred way of unwinding on weekends is to curl up with my family over a long gaming session. We're all gizmo lovers, and this is our ideal weekend time out.
