BearingPoint, a management and technology consulting firm, on Friday announced it will raise its headcount in India from 100 to 1,000 in next two years. |
The Virginia (USA)-headquartered company which opened its global development centre in Bangalore said that one of the reasons why the company was expanding its footprints in India was the availability of skilled manpower at the senior level. |

ERP, SAP and enterprise application spaces," Joni Kahn, BearingPoint executive vice president and head of technology solutions told the media here. |
The new global development centre, is located at Embassy Golf Links IT business campus. The facility with a build-up area of 55,000 square feet, has the capacity to house over 600 people. |
Rakesh Bhatia, managing director of BearingPoint India said the centre will offer full value services to different types of industries including banking, insurance, telecom, retail, oil, manufacturing, high-tech, life sciences and software product development. |
"We are eager to become a more active member of the Bangalore business community and recruit new employees from the highly educated and talent rich workforce," Bhatia added. |
BearingPoint has about 300 employees working in India. Besides Bangalore, the company has set up a global development centre in Chennai in partnership with Convansys, a consulting and technology services company based out of Michigan in US. |
Bhatia said that the company had an option of relocating some staff based out of Chennai to the global development centre in Bangalore. |
