Bharti, IBM to jointly offer managed services

Bharti Tele-Ventures and IBM India today announced the launch of managed services under a joint `Go-To-Market' programme.

According to a release issued by Bharti to the BSE today, the initial portfolio will include managed hosting services & business resiliency and continuity services.

"The joint `Go-To-Market' initiative will enable clients to achieve continuous access to enterprise information and critical business processes without having to increase/add infrastructure. While the company will provide the telecommunications infrastructure and lead the sales engagements, IBM Global Services will provide the IT infrastructure and technology management services to clients," the release added.

Badri Agarwal, president (infotel business group) of Bharti Tele-Ventures, said: "The Bharti-IBM alliance will redefine the existing paradigms of services in the Indian industry, and add unparalleled value to the offerings of both the companies."
