Integrated telecom services provider Bharti Airtel today introduced its new tariff plans in the broadband sector with speeds of 16 Mbps and 20 Gb download at Rs 2,999 per month, which might trigger yet another price war between the private telcos. For a 50 GB downlaod limit along with 16 Mbps broadband speed, the consumer will have to pay Rs 4,999 per month.

These tariff offerings, which could attract the small and medium enterprise segment, will be initially available in Delhi and NCR regions, Chennai and Bangalore.

K Srinivas, joint president, Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel, said: “It gives us great pleasure now to be able to introduce the fastest, wired broadband service on DSL. We will be able to offer 16 Mbps broadband to 70 per cent of the households in Delhi NCR, Chennai and Bangalore.”
