The manufacturing and distribution arm of the Bharti group, Bharti Teletech, today said it has entered into a distribution alliance with Logitech to service its enterprise customers.

Under the alliance, Bharti Teletech will sell and distribute an exclusive portfolio of Logitech products to enterprise customers in India, Bharti said in a statement.

Logitech, a $2.2 billion digital lifestyle peripherals major, will be able to leverage Bharti Teletech's network of over 100 institutional distributors across 35 cities and towns to capitalise on the increasing demand for IT accessories in the Indian market.

The product range made available through this alliance will not feature at Logitech's retail outlets and will be exclusive to Bharti Teletech customers, and the range includes mice, keyboards, webcams, speakers and headsets, it said.

Logitech India also plans to leverage this strength to promote its range of Home Entertainment Products, which include the Harmony Universal Remotes, Pure-Fi iPod Speakers and Squeeze Box Streaming Music Systems, it added.

Apart from the enterprise segment, the partnership would help Logitech to cater to institutional and government business needs as well.

"We realized that there is a huge market that would benefit from our technological innovations in the business sectors and we decided to introduce customised products for these elite customers," Logitech Country Manager (India and SAARC) Subrotah Biswas said.

Bharti Teletech has other distribution alliances with global majors like Motorola, Polycom, Casio, Sanyo, Apple and Transcend.
