Broadband in rural areas too

After launching Data One broadband in Mysore, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is extending broadband connectivity to all taluk headquarters in its area in the next few months.
 
"To help rural connectivity, BSNL Mysore proposes to commission high speed internet (Data One) services in taluk headquarters as well. This will enable rural public to have the same kind of service as the urban subscribers," BSNL Mysore General Manager T K Chandrasekhar announced here today.
 
In Mysore, the number of broadband subscribers had touched 900 customers, taking the overall internet subscribers to over 10,000 in the last five years.
