State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL), which is set to launch third generation (3G) mobile services in the state, is conducting final testing and trial runs.
"We are conducting testing of 3G mobile service. After that trial runs would be conducted for a few days before the launch of the service with due approval by (from) its headquarters," a senior BSNL official told PTI.
Under the 3G-service, highband internet and data transfer would be available.
The BSNL would be first mobile company to launch to the 3G service in Jammu and Kashmir.
"All the modifications have been done and infrastructure has come up. The testing and trials would iron out the minor and major problems, if any," he said.
The first 3G services would be launched in Jammu city and later in other areas in phased manner in Jammu and Kashmir.
