BSNL cuts intl call rates under OneIndia plan

Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) today slashed international long distance call rates for users opting for the OneIndia tariff plan.

Under the new tariffs, international call rates to the US, UK and Canada would be Rs 6 per minute (10 second pulse) as against Rs 7.20 per minute under other plans, an official statement said today.

Similarly, the rates for Europe (other than UK), Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong will now be Rs 8 per minute with 7.5 second pulse as against the existing Rs 9.60 a minute.

To the rest of the world, the rates would be Rs 10 per minute with six seconds pulse as against the earlier rate of Rs 12.

The rates have come into effect from March 1. "The new ISD rates are 17% lower than the rates offered by BSNL under other tariff plans in both fixed and mobile segment," the statement added.
