BT Telecom India to acquire IP firm i2i

BT Telecom India, a joint venture between British Telecom (BT) and Jubilant Enpro of New Delhi, will acquire Mumbai based i2i - an internet protocol based global managed network service provider.

"The acquisition is in line with our plan to increase presence in India through both organic and inorganic growth and also increase our revenue from India to $ 250 million by 2009," Allen Ma, president, Asia Pacific, BT said. He, however, did not disclose the amount of the deal.
