Infotel and Marketing Communications (IMC), a state-based business process outsourcing firm, has come out with a product that will serve not only as guide to locate various business establishments in Jammu and other parts of the state, but also as reference for places of tourist interest in the region.

"CityInfo Landmarker", as the name of the product suggests, is a publication in wall-hanging shape, approximately measuring four feet by two feet, which has also been positioned by the firm in the market as a business promotion tool.

The first edition of the publication, which carries information on business establishments of Jammu, is ready for launch and is likely to hit the market next week.

While the firm has also begun working on the second edition, which will carry information on Srinagar, a similar product for Katra-Vaishno Devi is also coming.

"CityInfo Landmarker is a unique product, particularly for the Jammu &Kashmir markets, since there has not been a single product comprising all the features--essentially parts of this product--in the state so far," Anil Gupta, chief operating officer of IMC, said.

"The landmarker not only serves as a guide to locate various business centres in the city, but has also been strategically positioned in the market as a promotional tool," he added.

"We hope the product becomes a cost-effective promotional tool for businesses, besides proving to be suitable reference material for those who hang it in their offices, establishments, and living rooms," Gupta said, adding, "The product has been strategically designed and produced in a way that it can be used by a customer".

The first edition of "CityInfo Landmarker", Jammu, is likely to reach 15,000 customers in nearly 2,000 private business establishments in the state, government and public sector undertakings, retail outlets within and outside the state, and tourist reception centres across the country.

The copies of the product would also reach tour operators and travel agents, the chief operating officer informed.

IMC, Gupta said, is a business-processing organisation that primarily serves as a voice-based inbound call centre to provide business-related information and also acts as a value-added-services facilitator.

With the launch of this product, the firm will add to its portfolio, by stepping into publication arena.
