Canara Bank uses Polaris' 'Intellect Cards'

Polaris Software Lab has implemented 'Intellect Cards' on a Sunfire/Sun Unix platform from Sun Microsystems to service Canara Bank's credit card movement in India.

The bank has completed a rollout of a countrywide automation solution to scale up its cards operations from the present 1.25-million cardholder base to more than five million potential cardholders.

According to a release issued by Polaris Lab to the BSE, the project "Intellect cards" product envisages managing card, issuance and acquiring, fraud management, authorization, loyalty management, debit card, management and collections.

Koen Van den Brande, president product group, Polaris Software says "We are delighted to be able to offer that expertise to Canara Bank".
