CBay Systems (India) Pvt Ltd will develop a state-of-the-art healthcare BPO unit in Hyderabad at an investment of around Rs 65 crore. The unit, to come up in two years' time on an eight-acre plot in the proposed special economic zone (SEZ) at Popalguda, will employ around 2,500 people.

CBay Systems India is one of the five software companies that has been allotted land in the recently announced SEZ by the state government.

Announcing this here today after signing the MoU for land with the state government, CBay Systems chairman and CEO V Raman Kumar said, "The new centre will help us burst out from the existing facility and expand our operations further."

"We target to scale up our facilities to 10,000-seater in the coming two years," Raman said. CBay was also negotiating to acquire a 125-seater facility in Ahmedabad, he added.

The company plans to expand in the state by setting up smaller centres (about 50 people) at Guntur and Tirupati besides a moderately-sized centre (about 150 people) at Vizag. In Andhra Pradesh, CBay has a 500-seater facility at Hyderabad and a 100-seater production-cum-training facility at Vijayawada.
