Cognizant develops self-service portal for healthcare info

Cognizant Technology Solutions has announced that it has implemented a self service e-portal for Molina Healthcare Inc, US, to provide real time healthcare information to members, providers and services partners.
 
A company statement said the custom-built self-services portal would enable providers to check member eligibility, review claims and submit authorisations. Members can also check benefits, search providers, print ID cards and request change of address or primary care physician.
 
The ePortal also serves as an online file management system, allowing the trading partners to exchange data files.
 
The ePortal reduces administrative cost through automation and improved process efficiency, leading to better customer satisfaction, it added.
 
"The ePortal has delivered improved process efficiencies and streamlined support services for our providers, while simplifying information distribution," said Rick Click, chief information officer and vice-president (information services) at Molina Healthcare, Inc.
