Cognizant Technology Solutions, a Nasdaq-listed provider of IT, consulting and business process outsourcing services, is expanding its operations in Kerala. The company will be setting up a new campus at Phase-II of Infopark here.
The new campus, which will employ 12,000 professional, will come up on 15 acre with a total built-up area of 1.6 million sft. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kerala government for lease of the land at Infopark, in the presence of PK Kunhalikutty, minister for industries and IT, here on Tuesday.
Cognizant will develop the campus in phases. The Phase-I is being built at a cost of Rs 250 crore and will consist of a 550,000-sft software development block, which will accommodate over 4,000 professional. The company currently has over 1,500 professionals working from Phase-I of Infopark.
