Do you have one gadget that defines you?
My mobile phone. My work takes me across time zones, geographies and across the wonderful range of people I get to interact with. The mobile phone for me is not just about connectivity, it is also a way of life. Being in touch, being aware and reaching out pro-actively are things that I define as my workstyle and the mobile phone is an essential part of it.

What gizmo do you think is highly overrated?
The iPhone, I would say.

What gadget not available in the market would you love to have?
An airconditioned jacket (I do know an entrepreneur who is developing a jacket that will lower temperature by 10-20 degrees C). Living in Delhi in the sweltering heat throws up a lot of gadget ideas just to cope with the extreme temperatures.

Do you still keep, for sentimental value, any gadgets that no longer work?
I still have my 33-rpm record player.

Who is your gizmo guru?
Bobby Bedi. He has been an early adopter for a lot of devices which I haven't used yet. I always seek his advice and experience before deciding on new gadgets.

What's the one gadget that you love to gift?
I love to gift old mobile phones.

What gizmo goes everywhere you go?
My BlackBerry. I have been completely hooked by the ability to be productive and also be in touch with friends and family at my own time and space. It also turns dead time into productive usage.

Which is one of the first gadgets you bought?
The card shuffler.

Name a gadget that's unaffordable but which you would love to own someday?
A Segway. I have been fascinated by this electric personal transporter that is revolutionising personal commutes on campuses and golf courses across US. I wish it was more reasonably priced
