Having patented its optical document security (ODS), software solutions company CrimsonLogic Private Limited is now in talks with the Gujarat government to offer the same.
An end-to-end e-governance solutions provider spanning across customs and trade facilitation, judiciary, tax, healthcare and IT security domains, CrimsonLogic has developed the ODS technology for security and prevention of forging of printable documents.
The company is in early discussions with the Gujarat government given the latter focus on enhancing its e-governance activities across the state. "We had begun offer e-stamping services through the Stock Holding Corporation in Gujarat for the first time in the country. We now intend to encompass other avenues of e-governance like education, finance and other areas," said Navneet Chauhan, regional director South Asia of CrimsonLogic.
The portal technology, which is maintained by CrimsonLogic, for e-stamping alone has over 42 various types of transactions requiring stamp duty.
CrimsonLogic is aiming at utilising its ODS technology, which prevents forging of documents, for issuance of documents under several e-governance projects in Gujarat including death certificates, birth certificates and property documents.

"The optical document security technology has seven features including print control and optical water mark. It has been patented by the company and will be used extensively in several states of the country in the near future," said Chauhan.
Meanwhile, the company is also in talks with several educational institutions for offering its e-governance solutions. "We have planned to explore education sector and are looking for possible tie-ups with universities. The ODS technology specifically can be helpful here as the universities and institutions can issue several documents like certificates and marksheets online which secure and tamper-proof," added Chauhan.
While the company is in talks with some of the institutions in Gujarat, Chauhan refrained from divulging the names. With its headquarters in Singapore, CrimsonLogic is present in 10-15 countries across the world.
"Singapore is considered as one of the most eveloped examples of integrated service delivery in the world for their e-citizen centre. But our company has plans to expand in India as much is expected out of the country as well," said Chauhan.
