Bangalore-based Customer First Services, one of India's largest domestic call centres, on Wednesday announced that it has set up a new facility at Salt Lake City, Kolkata, primarily to cater to the company's rapidly growing domestic business in eastern India.

The services to be provided by this new facility will include business process outsourcing (BPO), voice-based customer care and web-based customer care.

This new facility is the company's sixth in India and is spread over 10,000 sq ft. It will initially staff about 300 agents and be able to handle over 30,000 calls a day. The facility was formally inaugurated on Wednesday by West Bengal IT minister Manabendra Mukherjee, says a company release.

Sandip Sen, CEO, Customer First Services said, "We are probably the only BPO company aggressively into both the domestic and the international market. One of our major clients in Eastern India is Tata Indicom.

The Kolkata facility would be handling their entire customer base for the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa and Jharkhand. Other clients include Standard Chartered Bank, BPL Ltd., The UB Group, Wipro and Apollo Hospitals."
