If you are worried about paying a bomb for an air ticket and wondering whether you should wait a bit longer to check if the prices come down, Google has just put you at ease with an update to its Google Flight feature.
This feature will tell you when the ticket price of a specific flight for the route you have chosen may rise and will also notify you when it drops. Any saved flights can be tracked on your phone once the new update is rolled out.
For example, if a ticket to Bengaluru costs more than Rs 1,000 after 7 hours, Google Flight notifies you when the price may expire.
In case you haven't selected a specific flight, you may see a notification bar with multiple tips showing you how to find the best price for this route. This includes things like recommendations for alternate airports or dates.

Google does this by looking at the historic prices for the route and also gives you an idea of much will be the price rise. Google says it will send notifications via email letting you know when prices are expected to change. Google is planning to roll out the feature in the coming weeks.

Google is also adding more features to hotel search, aimed at helping searchers find the best deals.
Google already labels deals when a hotel’s price is lower than usual compared to historical pricing, or if there are discounts to the normal rate for those dates. Now, you can see them in one list by clicking the deal icon.
Also, existing features let you explore destination based on your interests like adventure, culture, ecotourism, honeymoon, wildlife and winter sports etc.
