Buoyed by the spurt in public infrastructure development in the country, a leading real time visual simulation (RTVS) software and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions provider, EDS Technologies Private Ltd, is aiming for Rs 100 crore turnover next fiscal.

"Last fiscal, our revenues stood at Rs 55 crore. This year, we will touch Rs 65 crore. At the end of 2007-08 fiscal, we intend to cross the Rs 100-crore mark. We will add new products to our portfolio and broaden segments apart from increasing the headcount," EDS Technologies Private Ltd president S Senthil told Business Standard.

The Bangalore-based firm's core competence lies in PLM solutions and RTVS (for defence, aerospace and automotive segments).

"At present, PLM solutions generate 90 per cent of the revenues. But with the boom in infrastructure development, we expect a substantial demand for RTVS software. The RTVS software is now being used for infrastructure projects like airports, road transport system and town planning," he pointed out.

According to Senthil, the market size for RTVS software is doubling every year.

"At present, it is around Rs 30 crore (defence and aerospace segments). With infrastructure companies too adopting the RTVS software to execute projects, the demand is expected to go up. Since EDS is the only player in the high end RTVS software in the country, we expect a healthy growth over the next five years," he added.

He pointed out that sales cycle for the RTVS software is around nine months --12 months considering the time taken for execution of the projects.

"Recently, over 60 RTVS tool users in the country, right from leading defence organisations to smaller firms working in niche segments in simulation services, have witnessed our product demonstration. We have implemented PLM and RTVS solutions for over 600 customers over the last 11 years," Senthil said.

The firm has offices in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad with a staff strength of 85. Senthil said that the company will go in for hiring as part of the expansion plan.
