Efftronics bags Rs 100cr Rlys orders

Efftronics Systems Private Limited, an R&D software company and developer of embedded systems, has bagged two major orders worth Rs 100 crore from Indian Railways "� one for LED signal lamps and the other for integrated passenger information systems. The orders are to be implemented across the country during the next 5 years.
 
The company expects to register a turnover of Rs 40-45 crore this financial year as against Rs 30 crore in the last financial year. It currently has orders worth Rs 25-30 crore.
 
Managing director D Rama Krishna said that the company spent Rs 50 lakh each on the R&D to develop these two projects.
 
The projects are connected with LED displays, TV displays, timings, platform announcements and other information.
 
The company spends 1.5 per cent of its turnover on the R&D which has a team of 125 experts.
 
Last year, it spent Rs 1.5 crore on its research activities, which helped it increase the production capacity by 30 per cent. It has also set up a training centre with an outlay of Rs 35 lakh and had recently purchased a pick and placement system for Rs 60 lakh.
 
The system can fix 24,000 components per hour.
 
The company is also planning to set up an indigenous weather monitoring system next year, he added.
