Speaking to Business Standard, D Ramakrishna, managing director of Efftronics, said that 80 per cent of the company's sales had come from dataloggers. |
"Indian Railways has been our major buyer," he said adding, the company has been helping the Indian Railways in acquiring wide area data through totally-automated integrated systems for rational management of train traffic. |
"The centralised traffic control has already been established along 90 per cent of the trunk routes in the country. The railways is also using our dataloggers, light emitting diodes (LED), master slave clocks, reservation, common queue systems and train charting software. We are awaiting final approval from the railways for setting up solid state block instrument, global position system and LED signal lamps." |
To increase its order portfolio, the company is recruiting 50 more software experts, Ramakrishna said. Recently, the company participated in the CeBIT IT fair in Hanover. |
"Saudi Arabia and a few African countries have evinced interest in buying our dataloggers, LED graphic/information display systems, fail-safe programmable embedded system with 2 out of 3 architecture, battery monitoring unit, global position system (GPS), vehicle tracking system, point machine health monitoring system, LED signal lamps and multiple display systems control," Ramakrishna said. |
